TEHRAN - Iranian light crude oil price reached the record high of $65.77 per barrel on December 30, 2017, registering a $12.46 increase compared to last year’s figure for the same date.

The country’s light crude was traded at $53.31 on December 30, 2016, Shana reported on Saturday.

Iranian light crude price was reported $52.36 on average in 2017, $11.36 more than the preceding year’s $41.

The country’s heavy crude oil price stood at $62.98 in the week ended on December 29. The figure was $52.84 on December 30, 2016.

The average prices for Iranian heavy crude in 2017 and 2016 stood at $51.71 and $39.89, respectively.

According to Shana, Iran shipped 777 million barrels of oil to global markets in 2017.

The country exported 2.13 million barrels per day (bpd) of crude in last year, 62 percent of which was shipped to Asian markets and the rest was received by European buyers.

China, India, South Korea and Japan were top importers of Iranian crude oil in the mentioned period while Turkey, Italy, Britain, Hungary and the Netherlands were among European customers.
